Exchange or return
Did you receive the article and are you not happy with it? Then you can return it within 30 days of receipt. We will send you a new article on request or you will receive your payment within 3 days after receiving the return shipment.
You do not have to give a reason, but we do have a curios nature.
The exchange or return of a product that you have purchased in our (web) store is possible up to 30 days after receiving the product. During this period, you may unpack and rate the item as you would in the store.
If you use the article in such a way that it is no longer in the condition as you have received it, it may be that you will receive less money for the article.
Exchange or return in the store
Take the product in original condition to our store in Nieuwegein.
- You can directly exchange the product for another product. The price difference is settled.
- You may also return the product. In that case you will receive the full purchase amount back.
Exchange or return by mail
You can also return the product to us by post.
If you plan to do so, please let us know.

We advise you to send the package by registered post. We do that ourselves. The costs for returning the return shipment are not reimbursed by Smits Philately.
As soon as we receive the package, we will send you a confirmation.
After receiving the return shipment:
- Is the new product cheaper? You will receive an amount of your balance in your account within 3 days.
- Is the new product more expensive? You will receive a payment request from us for the remaining amount. After receiving your payment, we will send the product immediately.
- Within 3 working days after confirmation of receipt of your product, we will refund the purchase price to the same account number as you have paid.
