37185 Great Britain 1840-1953.

Fantastic powerful lot mainly better issues incl. duplicates, in mainly very good condition, starting with 1840 penny black(3), 2d blue(2), 1841: 1d mint, 2d bloc of 6, embossed set, very extensive surface printed with the better values, also mint stamps, plate numbers incl. expensive, 1d red to plate 225, also 2sh brown used, the famous 1sh stock exchange forgery on piece together with 3d, 1867 high values incl. 5sh(4), 10sh (both watermarks), 1 pound (1x wmk Malt. cross, 2x wmk anchor!!), 5 pound orange on blued paper mint with ‘SPECIMEN’ overprint, pound lilac in both watermarks used, pound green used(2x), Edward VII to 1 pound green (2x), seahorsed to pound very lightly used, 1929 PUC mint very fine, 1 1/2d brown pair, 1 stamp with variety ‘penf’, 1 1/2d brown tete beche pair, many other better items, on stockpages, in folder. Most stamps were bought as single items at auction. Great lot, gigantic catalogue value and retail value!!
